Where Do You Take Your Pain? Finding God in the Middle of Life’s Rollercoaster
In the past few weeks, I’ve been riding what feels like a never-ending emotional rollercoaster. Maybe you know the feeling.
I’m just about to finish my Marketing-Management course after seven months of hard work. At the same time, I’ve been trying to grow the business the Father put in my heart. Add to that moving into a new place because my old apartment was sold and I couldn’t afford to stay — all after giving up a job I held for over 16 years as a Department Manager.
When I look back over the past two years, it’s been one big season of transition. And honestly? It hasn’t been easy.
The Weight of Pain and Questions
In the middle of it all, I carried so much pain, resentment, and even rejection. I found myself asking:
“God, why am I going through this? What’s the point? Why all this suffering?”
I even reached a place where I wanted to walk away from Him. Because when life keeps hurting, you can start to wonder: what’s the point of holding on to God if things don’t get better?
The Turning Point
But here’s the truth: I had no one but Him. Even in my darkest moments, even when I questioned His love, I remained at His feet.
And that’s where the shift happened. When I finally surrendered and gave Him my pain, He exchanged it for His peace. He took my heaviness and gave me His joy.
This doesn’t mean the struggles disappeared overnight. But it does mean that I no longer carry them alone.
What About You?
Maybe you’re carrying pain right now — heartbreak, uncertainty, rejection, or disappointment. Maybe you’ve thought about running from God because it feels too heavy to stay.
But let me tell you this, my dear: you don’t have to carry it by yourself. God is willing and able to take the weight off your shoulders. The same way He gave me peace in the middle of my rollercoaster, He can do it for you too.
The question is: where do you take your pain?
Closing Encouragement
Don’t run from Him when it hurts. Run to Him. Lay it all down. He’s not afraid of your tears, your doubts, or even your anger. He just wants your heart.
